Our program’s mission is to train clinically and culturally competent compassionate physicians who are dedicated to serving the well-being of the community.
Program Vision and Overall Goals
The Internal Medicine Residency Program at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center’s vision is to train compassionate, devoted, and well-versed internists that are ready to serve any community. Our residents train in a safety-net setting giving them the opportunity to mitigate healthcare inequity all while gaining exposure to a diversity of patients and pathologies.
We accomplish this by providing a strong balance of didactics, research opportunity, and clinical teaching while keeping the patient at the center of our focus. Moreover, we focus on the well being of our residents by building a supportive culture of collaboration, curiosity and reflection. We have continued to develop a wellness program over the years that includes mentoring as well as social events to help our residents maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
